Based in Italy, Rita Merlini is a genuine leather wizard. A true artisan, she studied in Santa Croce with an emphasis on leather design weaving, embroidering and leather folding techniques. She creates each handbag one by one, with an initial drawing and uses the most gorgeous full grained vegetable tanned, buttery leathers from Tuscany with old and new techniques. Rita is highly influenced from her homeland's nature, fishing villages, rolling sea side hills and colorful homes in Italy. Each bag is a reflection of her dedication to her Italian heritage and has so much soul and love put into it. They age beautifully with wear, sunlight and become like an old friend by your side.
